You are quite mistaken if you think I am going to delete your post just because I disagree with you. One of the things that I love most about this country is the Bill of Rights and the First Amendment that protects free speech. I like the idea the everyone can voice their opinions as long as there are no physical threats or intimidation.
That being said, we run the risk of having a thread venting frustrations against illegals degenerate into an anti-Mexican thread. We have had a lot of publicity, and many reporters etc read our forum to get an idea of what we are about. They can very easily read one frustrated post from an otherwise reasonable member out of context and decide that we are a xenophobic group. I edited one comment from Santosh's post; and deleted a post of Bkam's. Bkam's post, frankly, was offensive.
As a side note, I have quite the same frustrations against the "perceived" better treatment that illegals get. If you look at our "Parity" memo where we found that undocumented workers can self-petition for green cards and we can't, I co-wrote it. But let us focus on the positives that we bring and move on.
Stucklabour, make no mistake. I totally respect the fact and the hard work done by the core group (urself included). I also respect the moderation aspect where, targetting any one particular community shud be removed at once. So to that effect i do agree with you removing some of the offensive looking posts.
However discussions about legals v/s illegals in the past have been simply removed by suggestions such as "they live in far worse conditions" and "do not denigrate any group". In my opinion when you say "denigrate" it is something to the effect of, "get rid of them all". Saying someone broke the law when they actually did, does not constitute "denigration" per se, & i really commend the fact that you did not delete my post. Thanks for the good job that you guys have been doing.

I really don't understand these Attorneys. Its clearly mentioned on 485 form that ALL 485 petitions should go to NSC. period.
And as far as I know, due to awareness and the fact we all are professionals who can go to USCIS site and read the instructions in black and white, we should not just rely on this morons (attorneys.. though there are some good ones around)

Instead, USCIS will accept the filing, redirect it to the correct location, and honor the initial receipt date."
So if you already know that your I-485 will be adjudicated by the service center where your I-140 was processed, you just save some processing time by sending it there. See also Matthew Oh's May 14, 2007 post in which he says that USCIS may try to accelerate bi-specialization phase III in order to avoid sending massive numbers of files from the central NSC location to the locations where the I-140 processing was done.
My attorney sent my forms to TSC on June 6, 2007. Tick tock tick tock till I get the receipt notice.

The receipt no. had SRC***** in it and when i looked it up online i saw a note stating " your applicaiton is with our Texas Center". I did send it to NSC on Jul 2.
I understand that. What I wanted to know was what number you have? SRC or LIN? And also to confirm, if it was cashed by TSC? and not the case that it was cashed by NSC and then scheduled to be transfer to TSC?
As you had said "I think it got transferred to TSC". You mean it really got? or you think?

I'm sure you would agree that "no harm in trying" and "Leave no stone unturned" doesn't mean diluting our effort or sending incoherent message. That is why we need to have a single voice sending the same targeted message each time, otherwise we will just sound like awkward noise.

Hi,
I am a Jul 23rd I-485 filer. Just called USCIS second time (first time no success), went thru their menu and was lucky to get a great Cust Service Rep.
She asked me the I-485 receipt #s, address, primary contact #, DOB, and Zip Code for self and spouse.
She generated a SR for us together and gave us a Conf # for FP notice. She said that you should receive a FP appt notice in next 30 days.
So I guess, perseverance does pay off :)
Hopefully we can get this FP out of the way soon enough.
FYI I am a Bay Area resident.

What are plans and strategy for EB3?
We all morons wont still learn, we will still start prediting for next visa bulletin hoping that a reincarnation of god will ome and deliver us visa numbers.
Unless we all make a collective effort no one is going to listen to us. I know the fate of my post we all people are busy to get our post noted or express our opinion that we have lost our fous of what our main problem is. I think we deserve this perhaps I dont think if we continue like this we even deserve GCs.

For those of you joining us late, here is some info about this thread.
1. This is to do our least part to the core IV Team for their selfless sacrifice, for all of us getting the benefits of legal immigration. Note that , Aman Kapoor , the co-founder of IV has done his part by sacrificing $64,000/- from his own personal funds towards the administrative costs of IV. Yes you read it right , it is $64,000/- We come to know from his co-worker that he has sold his house towards running this show for us.
2. We have not yet figured out a way to reimburse these costs as IV does not yet have administrative costs part of the expenditure allocation, as we understand it. So instead of a wait and watch, we decided to go ahead with collecting the pledge from the members on the amount they are putting forth for reimbursing the amount. Once we come up with a strategy(members we look for your suggestions on how to get this done, please add your comments) we will instruct the members pledged to pay out.
So do not pay it directly to the IV core funds, yet.
Please help us spread the message about this thread in other threads by copy and pasting the following in other threads too.
There is a funding drive in this other thread towards reimbursing Aman and other core IV member's expenses towards the administrative costs of IV.

As far as I can remember all I needed for SIN card was my landing papers and my passport as ID. I did not open a bank account in Canada so I can't help you with that one.
Is there an advantage in opening a bank account if you plan to return to the US? Please let me know. I might want to open one myslef if it's going to help in anyway.

Problem was ours (EB2 & EB3) and we fought together until EB2&EB3 dates were retrogressed.Now the problem is only for EB3s so EB3s only have to come forward and work for ourselves. Thank you Sir...
No, you are twisting what I said. My point is, if you are not willing to help yourself, why do you expect people who are going to be current in a year or so to chip in? You can start helping yourself by becoming a regular donor to IV. That's $25 a month. Imagine 11,000 odd EB people becoming regular donors. Maybe, IV can then run a regular ad in major news network, explaining our plight.

2) We should follow up and make appointments Next week (It is a short week) or on Monday 29th November. When we go to this appointment, just focus on the message of this action alert. Do not be tempted to talk about any other issue, Do not take a lot of time and do not present any personal issue. Just talk about this one issue.
3) Please consider getting on a recurring contribution for IV. We need the funds. There are a lot of things that can be achieved if we had a big budget.

Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.
I hear you man. I am in exact same situation. I filed on June 29th inspite of having whole July. We will see what happens. Hope we will be fine!

Please be sure we all have problems and all of us are fighting so do not think you are the unlucky one...take that thought out of your mind. And then fight and if you are determined to live, you can even beat this so called fatal disease! It is all in you, the power, bring out the power, whether you do Yoga or prayers... You can fight. You must understand that God is in you and even in your so called fatal cancer. God is everywhere, even in each action you do..connect with IT...and you will be at peace..and if you feel being in US will help all of you, so pray for it...BUT YOU MUST FIGHT AND CONNECT..

I see the priority date for caydee as March 2006 from the profile.. Does this mean, USCIS has already started processing cases that are going to be current from September 1st??
